All hail Keith Elwin, inventor of sweepable drops! The genius Keith Elwin has done it again, pioneering a skillshot mini-mode! Wait, what? Sweepable drops already existed and these were directly inspired by Cheetah? The skillshot and Deadeye are a direct homage to Congo? It doesn't matter. People may put Elwin on too much of a pedestal but this game rips and I consider it his best. The layout manages to squeeze in so many out of the ordinary shots, all without feeling clunky. The biplane shot is my favorite iteration of an upper flipper cross ramp, so smooth and the little barrel roll is so satisfying. The code is as complicated as any modern Stern, but better integrated to the layout than most (and I DO give Elwin credit for that). I also think the theme is great. I like King Kong and think this interpretation does the property justice. Greater than the sum of its (already individually good) parts and my overall favorite Stern machine so far.
